Welcome to the Visual Visualizaiton Toolkit (VTK) page.

News

  • Created net.jbeans.vtk.VTKPretender class. It allows you to expose instance variable within JBeanStudio so that it can be linked to other JavaBeans. Below is a snapshot of the first example working under the new JBeanStudio with VTKPretender.

Download

This project releases Java wrappers for C++ VTK objects in two forms:

  1. a .jar file containing all java wrappers along with corresponding BeanInfo classes and JavaHelp files. You should use this if you want to write your own Java applications using VTK.

  2. a standalone visual programming environment. (The visual programming environment is based on JBeanStudio.) A default palette containing various VTK objects are loaded at the start-up.

You can download files form VisualVTK_Download.

Random Thoughts

Move towards supporting computational steering.

Use gViz to directly connect to computational steering applications on the Grid.
