Notes on using Vislab AG Node

For the multimachine node you need to install your certificate on each machine.

Once installed and set as default you need to run three programs. This can all be done through the kvm console:

  • On ag1-video run AGServiceManager.py

  • On p0 run AGServiceManager.py -n

  • On p0 run VenueClient.py

Video Issues

The current convention is to create a quad-head node by using a dual-head AGP card and a dual-head PCI card (although 2*PCI will work too). This requires configuring X with two TwinView screen and then joining the screens together with Xinerama. There is an example config attached below.

attachment:XF86Config-4.ag-quad

WARNING: There is a problem with the current 6xxx Nvidia drivers that crashes the server if there is more than one TwinView configuration. The solution is to use the 5336 driver, available on the Nvidia site.
